OLD FASHIONED CUCUMBER PICKLES 
1 1/2 qt. water
1 qt. vinegar
3 tbsp. salt
20 saccharin (1 grain)
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tbsp. pickling slices
1 sm. onion, sliced

Mix ingredients. Bring to a boil. Heat cucumbers but do not boil. Pack into jars. Bring your vinegar mixture to a boil again. Pour over pickles and seal jars. 10 to 12 pints.
