SINFUL BROWNIES 
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz.) box or 49 caramels
3/4 c. butter
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2/3 c. canned evaporated milk
1 c. chopped nuts

In top of double boiler, melt caramels in 1/3 cup of the milk. Meanwhile melt butter and add to cake mix with remaining 1/3 cup of milk.

Grease and flour a 2 quart baking dish (glass). Press in 1/2 of cake mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove and sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Pour melted caramel over chocolate chips; sprinkle nuts over all and then spread in remaining cake mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
