BLACK AND WHITE RUFFED LEMUR
CUPCAKES
 
CAKE BATTER:

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/3 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar

Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Beat until well blended. Fill lined cups a generous 1/3 full.

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1 c. chocolate chips
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Combine cheese, egg, sugar and salt. Beat until smooth. Stir in chips. Place heaping tablespoon filling on batter in cups. Sprinkle with nuts and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
