CRISSCROSS PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES | |
1 1/2 c. granulated brown sugar 1 c. white granulated sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 c. butter 1 c. crunchy peanut butter 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder Beat butter, peanut butter and salt to make creamy. Mix both sugars and thoroughly beat into the mixture and keep beating until light. Beat in the two eggs, resift the flour with the teaspoon of soda and blend into beaten mixture gradually. Set oven to heat at 400 degrees. Shape the cookie dough in balls one inch in diameter and place two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Press each down with a criss cross design using tines of a fork. Bake in the preheated oven about six minutes, until browned around the edge. If possible, store cookies in an airtight container. |
