GINGER SNAP COOKIES 
1 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. ginger

Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Roll cookies in granulated sugar.
