NACHOS 
Makes enough for you and three amigos (friends).

EQUIPMENT:

Measurin g cups and spoons
9 inch pie plate
Small spoon
Hot pads

INGREDIENTS:

20 tortilla chips
1 tbsp. salsa (if you like)
1/4 c. shredded Monterey Jack, American, or Cheddar cheese

1. Turn the oven to 350 degrees. In the pie plate, arrange the tortilla chips in a single layer. Spoon a little salsa over each chip, if you like. Sprinkle chips with cheese.

2. Put the pie plate in the oven. Bake for 4 to 5 minutes or until the cheese melts. Use hot pads to remove the pie plate from the oven. Cool about 1 minute before eating. Makes 20 (4 servings).

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:

In a microwave-safe 9 inch pie plate arrange the tortilla chips in a single layer. Spoon a little salsa over each chip, if you like. Sprinkle with cheese.

Place in the microwave oven. Set on high (100%) power. Micro-cook for 30 to 40 seconds or until the cheese is melted. Cool about 1 minute.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
