JALAPENO CORNBREAD 
1/2 lb. fried bacon
1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. cornmeal (yellow)
1 egg
3 tbsp. melted butter
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. creamed corn
1/4 c. green chili, drained & diced

Fry bacon crisp. Combine dry ingredients. Add egg, butter and buttermilk. Stir well. Stir in corn and chilies. Beat in bacon dripping. Spoon batter in greased hot skillet. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
