1 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp. hot water
Vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
2 c. quick oats
1 pkg. butterscotch chips

Mix and drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
