TRASH CAN CHILI
2 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 tbsp. garlic, chopped
1 (24 oz.) jar tomato or spaghetti sauce
1 (29 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1/2 cup grated cheese
1/2 cup bread crumbs
3 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. A1 steak sauce
2 tbsp. butter
pinch of salt and pepper
hot pepper flakes*
hot sauce*

Cook onion, pepper and garlic seasoned with salt and pepper in a little butter until the onions are translucent. Add ground meat and sauté until done. Drain the meat mixture of any grease.

Add tomato sauce, beans, cheese, bread crumbs, chili powder and steak sauce and bring to a simmer. Once that’s done, add the red pepper flakes and hot sauce.

This chili is best served over rice, elbow macaroni, hot dogs, or even alone.

Note: Please use the hot pepper flakes and hot sauce sparingly because you do not want to use a lot so that the chili is inedible. You want to put enough of each in so that the chili has a kick to it.
