BANANA DROP DOUGHNUTS | |
1 c. plain flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 egg 3 tbsp. granulated sugar 1 c. confectioners' sugar 1/3 c. fresh milk 1 tsp. McCormick pure vanilla extract 1/4 tsp. McCormick cinnamon 3 bananas Shortening Mix milk, egg, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Sift flour and baking powder. Mix until medium batter forms. Cut the 3 bananas in half, lengthwise and then in sevenths, width-wise. Dip in batter. Deep fat fry in Crisco, turning once (at least 2 inches of shortening). Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Serve hot! Use for breakfast or brunch. Make as needed because they get soggy. Outer crust is crispy and banana is succulent. Fry at 365 to 375 degrees. Drain on paper towels. |
