BOILED CAKE AND FROSTING
1 c. water
1 c. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa (1/4 c.)
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream (or buttermilk)
2 eggs, slightly beaten

FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa (1/4 c.)
About 1 lb. powdered sugar
1 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a pan, bring water, butter and cocoa to a boil. In a bowl, mix sugar, flour, baking soda and salt; add to ingredients in pan.

Remove from heat and stir in sour cream (buttermilk) and eggs. Pour into an 11 x 17 inch cookie sheet and bake 12-15 minutes. (If using a cake pan, bake 5-10 minutes longer.)

Frosting: In a pan, bring butter, milk and cocoa to a boil. Remove from heat and add enough powdered sugar for spreading consistency (almost 1 pound). Stir in nuts.
