CABIN STEW | |
2/3 c. chopped onion 1 c. coarsely-chopped, cooked ham 2 cans (14 1/2 oz. each) chicken broth 2 c. water 4 oz. smoked sausage, cut in 1/4 inch thick slices 4 c. coarsely-chopped potatoes 4 strips bacon, fried crisp and crumbled 2 cans (15 oz. each) garbanzo beans 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. roasted garlic butter (Land O' Lakes) Combine onion, ham, broth, water, sausage and potatoes. Cook until potatoes are fork tender but not mushy. Add bacon, garbanzo beans, black pepper, salt, and garlic butter. Simmer for 30 to 35 minutes or until garbanzo beans are tender. Stir occasionally. Makes 6 servings. |
