AUTHENTIC SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground chuck
1/4 lb. ground pork
Scant cup of bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. of each: salt, pepper, allspice, nutmeg
1 tsp. onion powder

Mix all ingredients well. Shape into 1 inch balls. Brown in a well heated heavy fry pan greased lightly on all sides. Takes about 1/2 hour to brown all sides.

Add 2 cups of beef consomme. Cover tightly and cook for 1 1/2 hours. Thicken broth for gravy at end of cooking.
