MADELINE'S TARTS 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sour cream

FILLING:

1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. powdered sugar
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Strawberry jam

Cut butter into flour until mixed. Stir in sour cream until blended. Divide dough in half and wrap each with plastic wrap and chill 2 hours. Roll the dough on a floured board and cut in circles (biscuit cutter) and circles with holes (dough nut cutter). Prick liberally with a fork and bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes (until golden).

Beat the filling until well blended. Spread on the bottoms gently as the crusts are delicate. Top with the crust with the hole and put a dab of strawberry jam in the hole.
