QUICK APPLE STRUDEL 
BATTER:

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. melted shortening
1 1/2 c. chopped tart apples

TOPPING:

1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. soft butter

Sift together dry ingredients. Beat egg and combine with milk and shortening. Add dry ingredients and the apples and mix quickly. Do not overmix. Pour batter into well greased pan.

Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over the top of batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes. Serve while warm.
