HAM VEGETABLE CHOWDER | |
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli 2 c. cooked ham (chopped) 2 c. sliced carrots 2 c. celery 1/2 c. chopped onion 8 oz. Swiss cheese 2 c. milk 1/2 c. bisquick Heat 1 quart water, broccoli, ham, carrots, celery and onions to boil in 4 quart Dutch oven. Reduce heat cover and simmer 10 minutes. Gradually stir in 2 cups milk into bisquick in small bowl (will be lumpy). Stir into ham mixture. Heat to boiling stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in Swiss cheese (shredded). Cover and let stand 5 minutes or until cheese has melted. Stir before serving. Serves 6 to 8. |
