MEME'S ANGEL BISCUITS 
5 c. plain flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 pkg. yeast
2 tbsp. warm water
2 c. buttermilk

Sift dry ingredients together. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to buttermilk. Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Stir in buttermilk-yeast mixture. Mix well. Place on lightly floured board. Cut with biscuit cutter. Dip in melted butter. Fold in half. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Great with peach rum jam!
