DILL PICKLES 
Fresh dill & garlic cloves
Mixed pickling spices
35-40 (4-6") cucumbers
1 1/2 c. salt (Kosher pickling salt)
2 c. vinegar (white)
8 qt. hot water

Wash and dry cucumbers. Place a layer of dill, 1 clove of garlic and 1/2 tablespoon pickling spices in jar. Top with cucumbers. Put 1 more layer of dill on top and 1/2 tablespoon of spice. Heat the salt water and vinegar to boiling, pour over cucumbers. Put sterile lids and rings on tight. Store in cool, dark cupboard 4-6 weeks.
