1 med. (about 1 lb.) butternut squash
3 tart green apples, peeled and grated
1 med. onion, peeled and chopped
1/4 tsp. rosemary
1/4 tsp. marjoram
3 (10 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth
2 soup cans water
2 slices white bread, torn
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 c. whipping cream or Half and Half
Chopped parsley
