HOLIDAY RICE PUDDING | |
1 1/4 c. milk 1 1/4 c. water 1/4 c. granulated sugar 1 c. uncooked rice 2 tbsp. soft butter 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring 1 c. whipping cream 1 tbsp. granulated sugar 1/2 c. blanched, slivered almonds Raspberry jam or sauce In a large saucepan, combine milk, water, and the 1/4 cup sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in rice. Reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 30-35 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat. Stir in butter. |
