SWEET AND SOUR BEAN SALAD | |
2 cans whole sm. green beans, drained thoroughly 1 can red beans, drained thoroughly 1 can waxed beans, drained thoroughly 1 med. onions, sliced in rings 1 sm. bell pepper, diced 1 can pimiento, drained & cut up 4 stalks celery, diced 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained DRESSING: 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. olive or salad oil 1 c. wine or regular vinegar Bring all to a boil slowly; add 1 teaspoon salt. Pour over bean mixture while still hot. Chill thoroughly before serving. If you can restrain yourself, it should stay fresh for up to 6 weeks in the refrigerator. |
