2 1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. cake flour
1 3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. white sugar
2/3 c. shortening (mix Crisco and butter)
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
2 1/2 sq. chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour, sugar, shortening and 1/2 of the buttermilk, beat 2 minutes. Add soda, salt and remaining buttermilk, eggs, chocolate and vanilla. Beat 2 more minutes. Bake in 9x13 pan at 350 degrees.
