10 potatoes, sliced into strips 2 c. vinegar, preferably malt Salt 2 c. peanut oil or 1 c. peanut oil and 1 c. vegetable oil Put the potatoes in big bowl. Let soak in vinegar for 10-20 minutes. Heat the oil in a pot. Deep fry until the potatoes are brown to taste. Add salt. Cheez Whiz, ketchup, mustard, or vinegar make good condiments. |
