CRISP SWEET PICKLES 
2 gal. cukes (the smaller the better)
1 pt. salt
1 gal. boiling water
1 3/4 qt. vinegar
3 c. water
8 lb. sugar
1 oz. stick cinnamon
1 oz. whole allspice
1 oz. celery seed
1 oz. whole cloves

Boil and pour it over the cukes. Drain the next day; heat syrup to boiling and pour over cukes. Repeat for 4 days (5 days in all). Drain. Put pickles in jars. Heat syrup to boiling. Pour over the cukes and seal the jars. ENJOY!
