DOWN MAINE BLUEBERRY MUFFINS 
1 c. blueberries
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. melted shortening or butter

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add sugar to sifted ingredients and stir. Add beaten egg, milk, and shortening and mix well. Stir just enough to mix and then fold in the blueberries.

Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
