SALSA PICANTE (HOT SAUCE) 
1 or 2 (3 if really hot flavor is desired) jalapenos
1 lg. or 2 sm. pods fresh garlic
1/2 tsp. comino
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 or 2 tbsp. oil from canned jalapenos
Ground black pepper

Put into blender for 35 seconds at high speed the jalapenos, garlic, comino, salt, juice from tomatoes. Stop blender and add the can of tomatoes and blend on low speed for 2 or 3 seconds, to sauce consistency. Add oil from jalapeno can and pepper. Store in glass jar. Yield: 1 1/2 cups. Will keep for several weeks in refrigerator. This sauce is good for huevos rancheros.
