INSTANT YEAST ROLLS 
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
5 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk

Dissolve the yeast in water. Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add yeast mixture. Add buttermilk to dry ingredients. Knead until it holds together. Refrigerate until needed. Roll out to 1/4" to 1/2" thickness. May be frozen and used as needed. Let rise 1 hour if frozen. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
