APPLE PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
6 c. apples (2 lbs.)
Dash of butter on top
9 inch pie plate

TWO PIE CRUST:

2 1/4 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. shortening, Crisco
1 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. cold water

ONE PIE CRUST:

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
3 tbsp. cold water

In the electric mixer put flour, salt, 1/2 of the shortening. Mix about 2 minutes. Then put the second shortening in and mix together again. Then add the cold water. When the dough starts to stick to the beaters, then it's done. Roll it out. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes then turn to 325 degrees for 35 minutes.
