IRISH SODA BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. caraway seeds
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder

Sift flour, baking soda and powdered, salt together. Stir in raisins and and caraway seeds and enough milk to give a soft dough. Knead lightly on a floured board until stiffness disappears. Form into round loaf. Place in greased cake pan (8 inch) cut and "X" on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Lower to 350 degrees and bake 40 minutes. Cool on rack.
