MOCK STRAWBERRY JAM 
6 c. figs, peeled & crushed
3 c. sugar
3 sm. pkg. strawberry Jello

Combine all ingredients in heavy boiler. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, then continue cooking, stirring occasionally for 50-60 minutes. Fill sterilized jars. Cap with sealed lids. (As jam cools, jars will seal.)
