UNSTUFFED CABBAGE 
1 lg. head cabbage
1 lb. can tomatoes
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. or more cooked rice
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
4 tbsp. brown sugar

Cut up cabbage and place in Dutch oven or large pot. Add tomatoes; mix rice, beef, egg and salt; shape into small balls. Place on top of cabbage. Cover with tomato sauce and sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover, bring to boil; lower heat to simmer for 1 hour. Makes approximately 25 balls.
