MOOSE LAKE COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 stick butter

2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Add flour mixture alternately with 1/2 cup sour cream (1 teaspoon vinegar and 1/2 cup canned cream mixed together if you don't have sour cream). Add 1 cup chopped dates and raisins and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. After putting one sheet of cookies in oven, make icing and put on cookies on sheet after taking from the oven.

ICING FOR MOOSE LAKE COOKIES:

1/2 stick real butter
1/4 c. boiling water
1 lb. pkg. powdered sugar

Melt butter and let foam. Stir down and let foam again. Take from heat, add boiling water and vanilla and powdered sugar.
