GEAUGA COUNTY MAPLE PIE 
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 to 1 1/4 c. maple syrup
3/4 to 1 c. pecans or walnuts
1/4 tsp. tarragon or cider vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 unbaked pie crust

Cream butter and sugar. Add unbeaten eggs and stir well. Add flour, salt, vanilla and syrup. Beat well. Add nuts. Place in pie crust. Bake about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Filling should be set when pie is shaken gently.
