DOUBLE DECKER FUDGE | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. sour cream 2 tbsp. butter dash of salt 3 tbsp. cocoa 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. water 1 c. chopped nuts 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk 1 (12 oz.) pkg. Reese's peanut butter chips In a saucepan, combine sugar, sour cream, butter and salt. Butter sides of pan and mix cocoa and water and stir into saucepan. Bring to a boil. Boil until 238°F on a candy thermometer or until a small amount of syrup when dropped into cold water, forms a soft ball. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm. Stir in nuts and beat until mixture thickens. Spread into a foil lined 8-inch square pan. In a saucepan, combine condensed milk and chips. Stir until smooth and melted. Spread mixture evenly over cocoa fudge. Chill until firm. Using foil, pull from pan and cut into squares. |
