1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients and drop onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Immediately upon removal from oven place half a marshmallow on top. Cool completely.

ICING:

1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. maple syrup
1/2 c. shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. powdered sugar

Mix all ingredients until stiff. Frost cooled cookies. Top with cherries and nuts.
