PASTA AND PESTO 
1 c. fresh basil leaves, washed and drained
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. finely chopped garlic
2 tbsp. chopped pine nuts
1/4 c. olive oil
1/4 c. fresh grated Parmesan cheese
1 lb. box linguine

Combine first 6 ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend at high speed until smooth. Add cheese and blend a few seconds more. Cook linguini according to package directions. Drain and transfer to a large bowl. Toss with pesto sauce. Serve hot or cold.
