SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1 slice bread, soaked in water & squeezed
1/3 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 egg
butter for frying

Combine meat and salt and blend lightly (with hands). Add bread crumbs that have been soaked in water. Mix in spices and onion. Add egg and mix well. Shape into 1" balls. Brown in butter. Pour out grease. Add water and beef bouillon cube and simmer 1 hour, covered. Thicken sauce with cornstarch and water.
