SHEPHERD'S PIE 
2 c. cold cooked meat, cut in pieces
1 1/2 c. hot mashed potatoes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Few drops onion juice
3 tbsp. leftover gravy
1 egg yolk
2 tsp. cold water

Grease a baking dish and line bottom with mashed potato. Season meat with salt, pepper, and onion juice; moisten with gravy; place in dish. Cover evenly with mashed potatoes. Spread top with egg yolk, beaten in cold water. Bake in hot oven (425 degrees) until brown and heated through, about 20 minutes. Individual pies may be made in small dishes or custard cups, cooking about 15 minutes. Serves 6.
