SPICEY STEW 
2 1/2-3 lbs. stewing beef
2 lg. onions, quartered
3 med. carrots, sliced
1 pkg. frozen peas, thawed
1/2 c. tomato paste
1/8 tsp. thyme
1 1/2c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp. celery salt
Accent
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
3 tsp. fat (Crisco oil)

Brown meat in hot fat, place in large baking dish. Add onions, carrots, peas. To drippings in skillet, add remainder of ingredients. Stir over low heat to get up browned particles. Pour over beef and vegetables. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 2 hours.

Alternative: This is just as good when cooked on low heat on stove for 1 1/2-2 hours.
