4 tbsp. cornstarch
4 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
4 heaping tbsp. powdered sugar

Mix first 3 ingredients in saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thick like a custard. Cool to lukewarm.

Cream together last 3 ingredients and add custard, a tablespoon at a time, while beating. Last, add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
