APPLE - WALNUT CRISP 
3 lbs. cooking apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. packed dark brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
4 tbsp. butter

Peel and core apples into 1/2 inch thick slices. Place apple slices in 1 1/2 quart microwave safe baking dish. Toss with lemon juice to coat. In bowl, mix nuts and next 5 ingredients. Add batter; cut into 1/4 inch pieces. Blend with finger tips until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Cook on high 14 to 16 minutes until apples are tender and topping is crispy.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
