AUNT SUSAN'S BANANA PUDDING 
6 tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 egg yolks, beaten
1/4 c. butter
1 c. hot water
2 tsp. vanilla extract
vanilla wafers
bananas, sliced

Place first 7 ingredients in top of double boiler. Cook until thick. Let cool. Add vanilla extract.

In large bowl, place vanilla wafers until bottom is covered. Cover wafers with thin layer of pudding mix; add a layer of bananas, sliced, then pudding mixture. Keep layering until all the pudding is used. Top with meringue or Cool Whip. Garnish with vanilla wafer crumbs.
