FROSTY STRAWBERRY DESSERT | |
1 c. flour 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts 1/2 c. melted butter Melt butter in 9x13x2 inch pan. Add flour, sugar and nuts. Mix well and spread evenly in pan. Bake at 350 degrees until nicely browned, stirring occasionally with a fork. Cool and remove half of mixture and set aside to top dessert. Spread remaining mixture in pan. 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. whipping cream, whipped 1 pt. fresh strawberries 2 tbsp. lemon juice Blend strawberries and sugar in blender or food processor until pureed. Put egg whites, lemon juice and pureed berries and sugar in large mixing bowl. Beat on high until stiff peaks form, 10-12 minutes. Fold in whipped cream and pour into pan and freeze overnight. |
