AMERICANIZED EGG ROLLS 
1 sm. head cabbage
4 lg. carrots
8 oz. jar mushrooms
1 lb. hamburger
2 stalks celery
1 can bamboo shoots
Salt and pepper to taste
Soy sauce to taste
2 pkg. egg roll wraps
2 eggs
4 tbsp. water
4 tsp. cornstarch

Brown hamburger and drain off grease. Shred cabbage, carrots, and celery as if making slaw. Chop mushrooms and bamboo shoots into small pieces. Add all this to hamburger with spices and soy sauce. Stir and set aside.

Mix egg, water, and cornstarch in a bowl. Place egg wrapper in diamond position. Cover wrapper with a film of egg mixture. Put 2 heaping tablespoons in lower half of wrapper and fold as if an envelope. Make sure it is sealed well with no mixture exposed. Deep fry. Makes approximately 30.

For a party snack, use the same recipe but use wonton noodles instead of egg roll wrappers.
