MUSCADINE JAM | |
5 lb. fruit 3 lb. sugar Spices, optional Pulp muscadines (remove hulls) and cook pulp in a small quantity of water. Cook until broken. Put through a coarse strainer to remove seeds. Put sufficient water in hulls and boil until tender. Mix the 2 together; add sugar and slowly, stirring often to prevent scorching. Season with spices if you desire to use them. Pour into jars and seal. Yield: 5 pints. |
