BOILED COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 lb. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
2 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. peanut butter

Cook sugar, milk, cocoa, butter for 2 1/2 minutes. Start count when mixture reaches full rolling boil. Remove from heat; add oats, nuts, vanilla and peanut butter. Instead of using nuts, I use 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter; raisins are good in this, also. Beat until blended. Spoon onto waxed paper.
