1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
48 chocolate kisses

In large bowl, stir flour, soda and salt together. Add remaining ingredients except the candy kisses; mix until combined scraping bowl often. Chill dough 30 minutes if you want.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll small amounts of dough into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 12 minutes or until light brown. Remove from oven and press a kiss into each cookie immediately. Remove from cookie sheet.
