BROCCOLI CHEESE CASSEROLE | |
2 bags frozen broccoli pieces 1 can Campbell's condensed cream of mushroom soup 1/2 c. mayonnaise (not salad dressing) 2 tsp. lemon juice 2 tsp. salt 8 oz. block Kraft cheese (mild or sharp according to preference) 2 tsp. white pepper Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Add frozen broccoli to 6 cups boiling water. Return to boil and remove immediately, drain completely. Shred cheese. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Place in 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. Bake 45 minutes. Serve directly from oven. Leftovers may be reheated in oven. VARIATIONS: During preparation, prepare 1 cup of rice. When combining ingredients, include rice. Add an additional 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 4 ounces cheese. Use same size casserole dish. Increase bake time to 1 hour but do not allow top to brown. |
