SAUSAGE AND MOSTACCIOLI | |
1 1/2 lbs. bulk pork sausage 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1 clove crushed garlic 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. oregano 8 oz. mostaccioli, cooked and drained 6 oz. (1 1/2 c.) sharp cheese, shredded Cook sausage, onions, green pepper and a garlic until meat is brown. Drain off fat. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, 1/2 cup water, salt, pepper and oregano. Mix all together. Stir in cooked mostaccioli mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle rest of cheese on top. Cook 5 minutes more. Serves 6 to 8. |
