BUTTERMILK CORNBREAD 
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cornmeal
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
4 tbsp. melted shortening

Mix all ingredients. Pour into greased 8-inch square pan.

Bake at 400°F about 30 minutes.
